Tuk quote Aluthgama station to Kadawatha interchange after last night's rain made the hill slick — walk the path or pay the short hop

Path looks like a mud chute. Driver wants a number that feels like a tour. One pair of sandals and a wrap we may not have. 26 Aug, still dripping off the trees at Aluthgama station.

Pay a short hop if the path is slick and you have a kid. Walk if you have shoes with grip and the rain has stopped. Do not pay a tour number for a ten-minute hill. Agree the fare before you sit. Kadawatha interchange is ordinary, not a secret.

We walked. Slow. Shoes muddy. Fine. The quote was a joke.

Kids: tuk. Pride bargains twenty minutes in the drizzle and arrives in a mood.

Ask two drivers. The first number is a test.

If it is still raining, sit Aluthgama station. Kadawatha interchange is often the same weather with a hill.

We paid a short hop, no speech. Fine.

Do not invent a festival extra on a wet path.

Write the number on your phone before you sit.
