Kids want the white Buddha at Bahirawakanda. Sensible tuk up and back before lunch, or save legs. Not walkable path from city hotels, and not Peradeniya half-day timing.

Tuk up is the usual call if legs are already tired from last night. Agree the return before you start, carry water, and do not linger so long that lunch and rest disappear.

Ask the driver to wait only if you already agreed a fair wait fee.

Tuk up and back before lunch worked — kids were happy.
