Unawatuna leftover SW chop with a toddler already in the shallows — pull them out or is the bay just being itself

Chop on the main bay, leftover from the last few days. Beach bar says it is fine. Kid already wet. I want a local, not a cocktail. I will not quote a flag colour as 23 Aug fact because I cannot see a board from here.

Stay where you can stand. Leftover SW chop on this bay is ordinary in August. Shallows can still dump a toddler. No inflatables past the first break. The bar does not write the sea. If a board is up, read the board. I will not invent an official warning colour as 23 Aug fact. It is just the sea.

We kept the kid knee-deep and sat. Fine. The bar wanted a second round more than a safe bay.
