23 Aug. Pole is up, leftover swell from the last few days. Beach chair says it is only for insurance. Kid already in. I want a local, not a cocktail.

Stay where you can stand. Leftover SW on this bay is ordinary in August. Shallows can still dump a toddler. No inflatables past the first break. The chair does not write the sea. If it looks wrong, you are out. I am not quoting an official warning colour.

We skipped. The kid got a bun instead of a clinic. Fine.

Ask two locals. The first number is a test, not a fee I will invent.

Write the board. A leftover-rain rumour around 'Unawatuna pole looking tired this morning with leftover SW' is not a timetable.

If you sit a table, order. Occupying shade with a bottle you brought is the rude version.

Kids: sit. Pride turns 'Unawatuna pole looking tired this morning with leftover SW' into a speech at the kerb.
