Done paying the first tuk I see. Can I roll bags to a normal guesthouse in Dehiwala?

In Dehiwala, only roll a suitcase if the halt is right by town and the path is lit / paved. Otherwise one short written-fare tuk beats a broken wheel and a bad mood.

Tried the walk once. Heat + broken pavement. Paid for 5 minutes of tuk and was happier.

If you're tired, stay nearer the bus stand / town centre in Dehiwala and skip chasing a perfect sunset. Pull cash in Colombo, Kandy, or Galle first — cards are a maybe. Locals will tell you if a ticket is counter-only.
