Ada says the water-cutting at the Gatambe Mahaweli is done and the daytime procession is still listed for 2:18. Are ordinary streets open this morning, or are we still in a festival hold until Day Perahera finishes.

Water-cutting is done. That does not mean every curb is a free road yet. Ordinary morning walks are usually fine away from the temple stretch. Near the Maligawa, expect leftover barriers until Day is finished. Ask a copper on the corner, not a chat rumour.

We walked to a bakery with no fuss. Closer to the square it still felt festival. Leave early if you need a clean hop out.

Do not invent a full reopen. Wrap news confirms Diya is done. Day Perahera is still ahead at 2:18.
