For paid photography work (weddings, corporate) you technically need a work visa or business visa, NOT a tourist ETA. Sri Lanka's ETA prohibits paid work. Most sub-radar wedding gigs happen but risk deportation or ban if caught. Not worth it for a $500-1000 gig.

For LEGAL destination wedding photography, work with a licensed local agency — they arrange business visa or short-term work permit through Ministry of Trade. Popular for foreign photographers doing 5-10 weddings per year. Some agencies specialize.
