You can usually pay at the door, but it gets incredibly crowded by 10 PM. Arrive early to avoid the queue. As for skating, yes, local and traveling skaters shred the bowl early in the evening. However, once the party peaks and the crowd fills the edges of the bowl, security usually stops the skating for safety reasons so people can dance around it.
The music is usually heavy house and techno, and the sound system is insanely loud.
Lamana is legendary. Drink prices are European though, so pre-drink before you arrive.
Yes, but be aware the bowl is concrete and not very forgiving if you have been drinking.
Do not park your scooters illegally on the main Galle road outside. The police will ticket you or tow the bike.
