Never stood on a board. School is willing. Leftover swell from the south. I bruise easily and we have a long bus tomorrow. 23 Aug, Sunday.

If the school says the peak is a real beginner class today, go. If they hesitate, wait. Leftover swell is still swell. Reef cuts happen when pride paddles out of the lesson. I will not invent a 23 Aug closure. Ask the actual instructor on the sand, not the hotel blackboard.

We waited a day, flatter, fine. The Sunday class looked punchy from the cafe.
