The Wewurukannala Viharaya in Dickwella is open every day from early morning until late evening. It features a towering 50 meter high seated Buddha statue that you can actually climb inside to reach the top.

To reach the top of the statue, you have to walk through a fascinating tunnel depicting vivid murals of Buddhist hell. It is a very unique and slightly eerie cultural experience.
