Booked. But is this like 'Vegas 90%' or 'real 90%'?

In peak season (Dec-Apr), sighting rate is genuinely 80-90% for blue whales specifically. Sperm whales, dolphins are near-certain. So the 90% is roughly accurate but seasonal. Off-season it's more like 20-30%. What matters more: choose an operator that CANCELS in rough sea (Raja & The Whales does, some don't). A 90% sighting rate in choppy sea = a miserable seasick trip that ends without a real sighting. Ask about their sea-cancellation policy.

^ agree with Raja recommendation. Also: know that even a 'sighting' can be a blow (spray) from 500m away, not a full whale breach. Manage expectations. The magic comes when you see a blue whale surface at 50m - not guaranteed even at 90% rate.

Verifying Raja can accommodate. Also managing expectations. Thanks.
