Coming Feb. Blogs claim 90% sighting rate. True?

Nov-April season for blue whales off Mirissa; peak Dec-March. Real sighting rate for blue whales at that peak: 70-85%, not 90%. Sperm whales, dolphins are near-certain. Choppy sea days some operators go anyway and you miss sightings from bouncing + seasickness - choose an operator with an actual cancellation policy (Raja & The Whales is reliable). Weather-dependent - if the sea report shows rough day, cancel and reschedule if possible.

Raja + morning slot. Thanks!

Also: 'sighting' can be a distant blow at 500m, not always a full breach. Manage expectations. Book afternoon slot only if morning is booked - morning is typically calmer sea.
