What can I see inside the National Maritime Museum in Galle?

The museum is housed in a restored Dutch warehouse and is excellent for history buffs. You can see various artifacts recovered from shipwrecks off the coast of Galle, including pottery, beer bottles, and maps from the VOC era. There is also a great section on the local marine ecosystem and traditional fishing techniques. It is a nice cool place to spend an hour when the midday sun in the Fort gets too intense.
