I see this on every menu. What does devilled mean in Sri Lankan cooking.

Devilled is a vastly popular Sri Lankan Chinese fusion cooking style. It involves stir frying pieces of meat or seafood with massive chunks of capsicum onions tomatoes and a thick sticky sweet and sour chili sauce.

If you cannot handle intense heat you must ask the waiter to make it very mild. They will simply reduce the amount of chili paste in the sauce but it will still retain its fantastic tangy flavor.
