The traditional herbal bath known as Nanu Snanaya is a deeply sacred highly purifying ritual performed using extremely specific leaves and oils right before the dawn of the New Year physically cleansing the body for a completely fresh start.

While it is a massively profound deeply personal local family tradition tourists rarely directly actively participate in it unless they are explicitly invited to celebrate closely within a highly authentic rural home stay environment.
