I do not eat meat. Will I struggle to find good traditional meals on my holiday.

Sri Lanka is an absolute magnificent completely brilliant paradise for vegetarians. Because the cuisine relies heavily on fresh local vegetables thick coconut milk and perfectly roasted spices you will eat phenomenally well.
Other massive vegetarian highlights include Wambatu Moju which is a sticky sweet deeply caramelized eggplant dish and the universally beloved incredibly creamy Parippu lentil dhal. Just always explicitly remind the waiter to omit Maldive fish flakes from the sambols.
You must absolutely try Jackfruit Curry known locally as Polos. When slowly cooked entirely in a clay pot it develops an incredibly rich meaty texture and a deeply savory flavor that perfectly mimics pulled pork.
