The one traditional dish every tourist absolutely must eat is Rice and Curry. It is not just one curry, but a massive serving of rice accompanied by five or six different spiced vegetable, meat, and lentil curries.

Kottu Roti is another incredibly famous street food. It is made by rapidly chopping flatbread, vegetables, eggs, and spices together on a hot iron griddle. The sound of it being made is iconic.
