Do I need warm clothes for the hill country. What are the absolute essentials to pack for this tropical climate.

When packing for a two week holiday in Sri Lanka, bring lightweight breathable cotton clothes for the coasts. However, you absolutely must pack a warm fleece sweater and long pants if you plan to visit Nuwara Eliya or Ella, as the evenings in the mountains get surprisingly cold.
