The Sacred Quadrangle, also known as Dalada Maluwa, is incredibly easy to find. Once you enter the main archaeological park road, it is located on a raised stone platform right in the center of the ancient city.
It is the most concentrated area of ruins in Polonnaruwa, containing the stunning circular Vatadage and several other beautifully preserved shrines all bundled together in one compact space.
You cannot miss it. Every bicycle and tuk tuk tour naturally stops there first, as it is widely considered the religious core and the most photogenic spot in the entire complex.
