Trying not to live on single-use plastic between Galle and Mirissa. Where can we realistically refill water bottles along that stretch without guessing at random taps.

Many Fort cafes and Unawatuna cafes will refill if you buy a drink or ask politely. Carry a filter bottle as backup for guesthouse taps you trust.

Mirissa cafes near the beach strip are used to refill asks. Skip unmarked roadside hoses.

Hotel reception often has a big bottle refill corner — ask once at check-in so you are not hunting at noon heat.
