Whispering versus full silence when a denser ceremonial stretch approaches this late. Follow locals around us, or ask a volunteer once. Not drum cues on arrival, not incense step back, and not elderly denser-part nudge as the same ask.

Follow the locals immediately around you — if voices drop, drop yours. Asking a volunteer once is fine if one is free and calm; do not shout the question across the curb. Phone flash off, kids quieter, bags still.

Pocket the phone before anyone needs to warn you about flash.

When randoli or palanquin is visible, err on quieter.
