Wilpattu instead of Yala because of the bungalow rumour — is that a real swap on 1 Sep or just fear

Chat says Yala bungalows dying mid-Sep so the whole park is chaos now. Friend suggests Wilpattu from the west. We are in Negombo at 1am with a car from 8. I like elephants. I do not like driving on a rumour.

Wilpattu is a real park with its own ticket, not a Yala overflow valve. On 1 Sep Yala is not closed because of a later bungalow notice. If you want Wilpattu, go for Wilpattu: early gate, west-north road, ordinary jeep. Do not swap coasts at 1am because of 14 Sep. I will not invent a Wilpattu cap either.

Wilpattu from Negombo is a long day. Sleep Puttalam if you actually mean it.
