Woke in the small hours. Thought I still heard a faint drum. Is that still the streets, or just our ears after last night. I am not calling it finished. I just want to sleep.

Treat it as your ears until morning. Do not go down to check. A late occupied night leaves a ring. Earplugs and the AC. Ask the desk at breakfast, not now.

We put plugs back in and stayed put. Morning was soon enough for any real answer.
