Wood apple (divi divul) is a hard-shelled tropical fruit with brown-black pulp inside. Juice made with pulp + water + jaggery + salt + spices creates a genuinely unique tart-sweet earthy drink. Excellent for digestion and cooling in tropical heat.

Try at village juice stalls, roadside vendors, and traditional restaurants (Nuga Gama, Palmyra). Cost 100-250 LKR per glass. Refreshing on a hot day. Taste is acquired — earthy, slightly musty — but locals swear by health benefits. Try once.
