Wrap for Gangaramaya Sunday — buy a proper cover at the gate or use the beach scarf because it is 'almost' enough

Sunday 30 Aug, Colombo. Beach scarf is see-through in this sun. Stall at the gate has proper wraps. Partner says almost is enough. I do not want to be the doorway fitting room.

Buy a proper wrap, or skip. A see-through scarf is a beach thing. Shoulders and knees. Do not make the doorway a fitting room. Skip is polite. I will not invent a temple fee. If the stall only has thin prints, buy two layers or walk on.

We doubled a wrap, went in briefly. Fine.

Pride uses the beach sarong and then owns a conversation at the step.

Same at Maligawa leftover Sunday. Cover is cover. Almost is not.

Kids: skip if they will not cover. The courtyard does not need a debate.

We took the quieter fork. Covered. No one clapped.
