If you are already this side, plan Wilpattu. Palatupana is a south holiday. Mixing gate folklore while you sit in Puttalam is how people add a night bus they will hate. I will not invent gate hours. Ask the desk you hire.

Hunuwilagama-side talk is local here. Palatupana is someone else's queue. Stay on your coast unless you want two parks in two weeks.
