We saw massive crowds on the news a few years ago. Is it calm now.

Accepted Answer

The intense massive political and economic street protests that globally dominated the international news cycles several years ago are completely entirely historically over. The government and the economy have firmly significantly stabilized. You will absolutely not see any massive chaotic angry crowds near the major tourist monuments or the presidential secretariat in Colombo today. The entire atmosphere across the city is incredibly deeply peaceful highly secure and vibrantly completely welcoming for all arriving foreign tourists.
