I need a power bank for my hikes. Are the electronics stalls in Pettah market selling genuine items, or are they fake capacities.

Almost everything electronic sold in the open-air carts and small stalls of Pettah is counterfeit. "JBL" speakers, "Sony" power banks, and "SanDisk" SD cards are fake Chinese imports. The power banks often have metal weights inside and terrible batteries. Do not buy electronics there. Go to Majestic City or Liberty Plaza for genuine stores.

Pettah is great for textiles, spices, and hardware. But keep away from the tech stalls.

I bought a 128GB SD card there and it corrupted after 4GB. Total scam.
