I am doing dawn patrol surfing in Ahangama and need a quick, cheap local bakery for fish buns before 6 AM.

Most bakeries do not open until 6:30 AM, but the Choon Paan (musical bread tuk-tuks) start roaming the inland roads around 5:45 AM. Listen for the Beethoven melody! They sell fresh Maalu Paan (fish buns) and Kimbula Banis right out of the back of the tuk-tuk.

The small glass cabinet shop next to the Ahangama bus stand is usually open early selling spicy lentil patties.

Grab a hot plain tea with sugar to go with it. Ultimate pre-surf fuel.
