Check out Ask for Fern or some of the hidden bars around the Dutch Hospital precinct. They are doing incredible things with aged Ceylon Arrack, infusing it with local spices like cinnamon and cardamom. The vibe is excellent, with deep house playing on weekends. It is the perfect cultural send off before hitting the wild.
