One of the best and safest places for waterfall swimming is the natural pool at the base of Sera Ella in the Knuckles range. The pool is wide, clear, and the currents are very gentle during the dry season.

The upper rock pools of Diyaluma Falls are also fantastic. They form natural infinity pools right at the cliff edge, but you must stay away from the very drop off point for safety.

If you are near Ella, the Kombukara Nature Pool is a hidden gem fed by a small cascade. It is completely safe, incredibly refreshing, and totally free of the massive tourist crowds.
