I want to do a cold plunge in a natural waterfall pool. Which ones are safe and accessible near Nuwara Eliya?

Bomburu Ella is incredible. It is about a 45-minute drive from Nuwara Eliya, followed by a 30-minute jungle hike. It is the widest waterfall in Sri Lanka, and there are several massive, safe pools at the bottom for swimming. The water is freezing!

Ramboda Falls is closer, but it is heavily commercialized with a hotel right next to it, and swimming is restricted. Stick to Bomburu Ella for a wild nature experience.
