Best ways for solo travelers to meet people in Sri Lanka (not just partying)?
I'm traveling solo and want to meet other travelers or locals in a natural way. Any good spots or activities?

Many guesthouses organize group dinners, cooking classes, or short excursions where solo travelers naturally connect. Yoga classes, surf lessons, and organized day trips are good too. In Ella and Ahangama there are regular traveler meetups at certain cafes. Walking tours in Galle Fort or Colombo can be social. The easiest way is often just chatting with other guests at breakfast or during evening happy hours at well-reviewed places.
I met some great people just by sitting at the communal table at breakfast in Ella. Also did a small group cooking class that turned into a whole day together.
Communal breakfasts and small group activities noted. Sounds low-pressure.
Local Sri Lankans are generally very friendly. If you stay in smaller guesthouses and show genuine interest, hosts and other guests often include you in plans. Joining a small group tour for a day or two can also lead to longer friendships.
