Can I buy an eSIM directly at the Dialog or Mobitel counters when landing at Bandaranaike International Airport, or should I buy a physical tourist SIM?

Yes, Dialog offers eSIM setups at the airport arrival terminal. It takes less than 5 minutes—they just scan a QR code on your phone. Make sure your phone is completely unlocked from your carrier first.

I bought Airalo before arriving, but the local Dialog tourist package at the airport terminal gives you way more data (around 20-50GB) for a fraction of the price (about $10-12 USD). Go with the local providers.
