While aggressive bargaining is highly expected in clothing markets or when hiring unmetered tuk tuks aggressively haggling over the price of a single King Coconut is generally considered slightly rude and unnecessary as the margins for the vendor are already incredibly tiny.

If they ask for 200 Rupees that is completely fair. If they ask for an exorbitant 500 Rupees simply firmly politely state that you know the local price is 200. They will almost always instantly smile and agree to the lower honest rate without a fight.
