Colombo 9pm column dropped from 0.7 to 0.1 on the morning stamp - going down after 6:28 PM is drier
This morning Colombo's 9pm slot is 0.1 millimetres. Last night that column was 0.7 and we were not supposed to redo it as a last-night A1 thread. We might go down after 6:28 PM. Is the morning drop real enough to travel after the procession, or is 0.1 still a wet expressway at 21:00.

Colombo Saturday on the 06:26 stamp: 9pm 0.1 mm / 35 percent, was 0.7 / 41 percent on the 23:26 stamp. 10pm 0.2 mm. Drier on paper. 0.1 mm is still a wet windscreen, not a reason to speed. 1,749. If you go down, a sober driver, after 6:28 PM, not an 18:40 sprint.
Standing 6:28 PM then a night A1 is two days. Sleep in Kandy if you can.
We stayed. The people who drove later said it spat and they were glad they were not the 0.7 version.

Driver claims the meter is broken and quotes an inflated flat rate. Common on arrival at airport or railway stations when tourists are tired and disoriented.
Drivers wearing official-looking uniforms claim to be "government-approved" and charge 3-5x normal rates. They may have fake badges or ID cards.
Women with babies approach asking you to buy milk powder at a nearby shop (not cash). The shop is run by accomplices and charges 5-10x normal price.
