My flight lands at 1 AM. Is it easy to get a taxi to Negombo (not Colombo city) at that hour?

Yes, the official airport taxi counter in the arrivals hall is open 24/7. Negombo is actually closer to the airport than Colombo. It takes about 20 minutes and costs roughly 3,000 LKR. Ignore the touts shouting outside the doors and book at the official counter inside.

You can also use the PickMe app at the airport. You have to walk slightly outside the terminal to the designated app pickup zone, but it is much cheaper than the official airport taxis.
