Colombo friends rolling at 3am want a Saturday kerb saved - we stood the 4th and are in bed
Group chat: they are doing the 3am start (other thread) and want us to save the same two metres we stood tonight. We stood the 4th. We are in bed. Host already has a house pin argument we muted. Do we go back out at 6.28 as their scouts, or mute and let 3am Colombo people find their own lamp.

Mute. A kerb is not a reservation. DIG: no seats blocking pavements. You cannot hold two metres from a pillow for people who have not slept. Send them an inland lamp name if you must, then stop typing. Saturday 6:28 is earlier than tonight's 6:40 - they will be late if they "come at 18:20" after a 3am road.
1,749 on their road, leftover cones on yours. You do not owe them a scout shift after a Kumbal. No invented reserved-kerb fee.
Scam Watch: colombo
Driver claims the meter is broken and quotes an inflated flat rate. Common on arrival at airport or railway stations when tourists are tired and disoriented.
Drivers wearing official-looking uniforms claim to be "government-approved" and charge 3-5x normal rates. They may have fake badges or ID cards.
Women with babies approach asking you to buy milk powder at a nearby shop (not cash). The shop is run by accomplices and charges 5-10x normal price.
