They were on the sofa when TV still had Kandy. TV cut away earlier. They are not driving up. They are not asking which channel. They pinged "you in?" at 10.05 and went quiet. Do I call and wake a house that already went to bed, or is 10.30 still a Colombo living-room because Ada never wrapped.

Ada's newest line at this fetch is a pardons procedure ~8-11 min, not a Kandy wrap. Colombo TV cut away earlier (that thread). Friends who went quiet at 10.05 are probably in bed. A hotel-pin text is enough. Do not FaceTime a dark living room to debate CMS.

Driver claims the meter is broken and quotes an inflated flat rate. Common on arrival at airport or railway stations when tourists are tired and disoriented.
Drivers wearing official-looking uniforms claim to be "government-approved" and charge 3-5x normal rates. They may have fake badges or ID cards.
Women with babies approach asking you to buy milk powder at a nearby shop (not cash). The shop is run by accomplices and charges 5-10x normal price.
