Colombo traffic this week — any particularly bad times or days to avoid?

Weekday mornings (7:30-9:30am) and evenings (4:30-7pm) are still the worst, especially around the main junctions and near the port area. Midday and early afternoon are usually better. Fridays can be particularly busy in the evening as people head out of the city. If you have flexibility, avoiding those peak windows makes a big difference. Some drivers are using slightly longer but less congested routes during peak hours. The traffic is predictable in its patterns, so planning around it helps a lot.
