Main Point in Arugam Bay is too crowded. Are there hidden untouched beaches south of Panama where we can surf completely alone.

Yes, the stretch between Panama and Okanda is pure wilderness. There are several unnamed right-hand points. However, you are surfing inside a national park buffer zone. There are crocodiles in the lagoons and wild elephants on the dirt tracks. You must have a 4x4, go with a group, and realize there is zero medical help nearby if you hit the reef.

Noted. We will rent a 4x4 and stock up heavily before heading south.

Never swim in the still lagoon water behind those breaks. Only swim in the crashing ocean where crocs rarely go.

No, absolutely nothing. You must bring all the drinking water and food you will need for the entire day.

Are there any shops at all past Panama.

We surfed near Kumana and had to wait for a herd of elephants to leave the beach before we could paddle out. Wild experience.
