It is very easy if you are staying in the guesthouses right outside the Wilpattu gate in Hunuwilgama. Ask your guesthouse owner the night before; they constantly coordinate with other local owners to group tourists together to fill up jeeps.

You can also post in the Sri Lanka Backpackers Facebook group a few days before your trip. Lots of solo travelers are looking to split costs.
