I want to stretch and do yoga after surfing Kabalana in Ahangama but the beach is too crowded. Where can I find a quiet wellness spot.

There are several boutique surf camps slightly inland in Ahangama that have beautiful open-air jungle shalas. Places like Sunshine Stories or Gitano House often allow drop-ins for their evening restorative classes. Alternatively, head towards Koggala Lake; many small guesthouses there have wooden decks right on the water that are perfect for quiet, independent practice.

Or just use the rooftop of your own hostel! Most Ahangama stays have flat roofs specifically for this.

The Palm Hotel has an incredible setup in the jungle if you want a luxury drop-in class.

There are crocodiles in the lake, but they stay far away from the wooden decks. You are completely safe on land.

Just walk past Marshmallows break to the small rocky coves. Usually empty at sunrise.

Koggala Lake sounds amazing. Are there crocodiles.

If you go inland, bring mosquito spray. The bugs are fierce when you are holding a pose.
