The main Ramboda falls are right on the highway and packed with tourists. Are there any hidden, secluded waterfalls nearby that we can hike to.

Yes! Just a few kilometers away is Puna Falls (Puna Ella). It is incredibly unique because it is a "Y" shaped waterfall where two different rivers merge and fall together. It requires a hike through the tea estates and jungle, so there are rarely any crowds. Ask a local tuk-tuk driver in Ramboda town to take you to the trailhead.

Be aware that these hidden falls have no safety railings or lifeguards. Do not swim if the water looks turbulent.

Also watch out for leeches on that trail. It is very damp.

The spray from Puna Falls is massive. Protect your camera gear.

It is best to hire a village kid for a few hundred rupees to show you the exact path, as it cuts through private property.
