The Sri Ponnambalam Vanesar Kovil is an incredibly stunning, massive temple built entirely out of intricately carved solid granite, located just north of Pettah. Because it lacks a brightly painted exterior, most tourists completely drive past it without realizing the magnificent, deeply peaceful architecture hidden inside.
