Hoppers place wants cash and our notes are soaked - they take a card at 9.15 or is that a walk
9.13, two streets back, the one room that is actually serving. Notes in the hip pocket are wet enough to be one brick. Card machine is "network" and the man is pointing at the cash. Is this a 9.15 LankaQR / Visa moment or do we apologise and leave.

A 9.15 hoppers room on a Perahera night is a cash room that might have a machine. Ask once. If it is cash-only, peel one least-wet note apart, or walk to an inland supermarket ATM - not the Dalada machines that were already a queue at 8. Do not argue about LankaQR with a man frying eggs.
Our Wise card was a ghost at a tiny place Wednesday. The supermarket two minutes further took it. The hoppers were worth the walk once we had dry notes.
Tomorrow, cash in a zip not a hip pocket. Tonight, do not invent a surcharge.
