Healthcare in Sri Lanka is incredibly affordable even at premium private hospitals. A standard outpatient consultation with a highly qualified English speaking doctor at a private facility like Asiri or Nawaloka usually costs roughly 5 to 10 USD.

Basic medications like antibiotics or cough syrups are also strictly price regulated and incredibly cheap. You can literally walk into any private hospital request to see a general physician and be treated within an hour for pocket change.
