Yes traveling to Sri Lanka in 2026 is completely incredibly safe. The economic challenges from previous years have entirely stabilized. There are absolutely zero fuel shortages no planned power cuts and public transport is running perfectly normally.

The country is highly welcoming and massive crowds of international tourists have fully returned to the beaches and cultural sites. You will experience nothing but brilliant incredible hospitality from the locals.
