Is it safe to go for a morning jog with the street dogs?
I am training for a marathon and need to run at 6 AM. Will the street dogs chase me if I am running?

Yes, running triggers their prey drive. At 6 AM, the streets are empty and the dogs are still highly territorial. If you jog past their patch, a pack will likely bark and chase your ankles. It is much safer to run on the beach sand near the water line, or wait until 8 AM when the traffic and noise calms them down.
Oof, okay. I will stick to running back and forth on the beach sand. Better for the calves anyway!
I had to stop my morning runs in Ahangama. The stress of dealing with 4 different packs of barking dogs every kilometer ruined the workout.
If a dog does chase you, STOP running immediately. Turn around, face them, and stomp your foot or pretend to pick up a rock. They are cowards and will immediately back off if you hold your ground.
