Is the Colombo Lotus Tower worth the entrance fee?

I have one evening in Colombo before flying out. Is it worth paying the tourist fee to go up the Lotus Tower for sunset?

The view is the highest in South Asia and on a clear day, the sunset over the Indian Ocean is spectacular. However, the $20 USD fee is steep compared to other local attractions. If you love cityscapes, do it.

Go right at 5:30 PM so you get the daylight, the sunset, and the city lighting up at night. The high-speed elevator is pretty cool too.

I went last week. The view is nice, but the inside feels a bit empty and unfinished. I preferred having a cocktail at a rooftop bar in Galle Face instead for the same price.
